What's That Wednesday! FastCap Knuckle Bender 3-1 tool

Boy, do we have an awesome little tool for you!

The Knuckle Bender is an essential tool for removing, adjusting, and properly aligning cabinet hinges. Not only does it speed up the process, but—more importantly—It does that without increasing the risk of damaging your cabinetry.

One of the biggest problems with doors is that over time they will sag, opening, or closing the gap between the door and jamb. This is especially so in climates that have extremes in temperature and humidity. In addition, the constant opening and closing of doors will eventually wear on the hinge. If you have a toddler in your house, you know exactly what I mean!

So, what do you do? The sagging will eventually lead to door-jamb damage, make it more difficult to open and close the door, and provide you with an awkwardly slanted door—quite the conversation piece at dinner parties.

Up until now, repairing hinges has always been a time-constraining effort, one that you might think about contracting out. Maybe you picture the effort of planing or sanding the door to fix the problem. Or, maybe the idea of buying a new door has crossed your mind. And yep, that’s a possibility. For $800, or more, you can have a new door installed and be perfectly aligned. But, with FastCap’s Knuckle Bender, you can toss out the idea of hiring someone, or replacing your door, and take care of the problem yourself. All you’ll need is the Knuckle Bender and a hammer.

The Knuckle Bender is a 3 in 1 tool, that will help you quickly adjust your door hinges, which will realign your door. This remarkable product helps you remove the door-pin from the hinge, as well as tweak the hinge knuckles.

It works like this:

1. Place the knuckle bender notch under the pin, and tap the knuckle bender with a hammer. Yes, removing the pins is as easy as that! No more tapping the pin with a screwdriver and hammer damaging the door, or yourself. The tool is designed to fit around the hinge to provide both you, and your door protection.

2. Slide the bender around the knuckle and tweak the hinge-knuckle in the direction you need. It only takes a little effort to move the hinge where you need it. You’ll need to align each knuckle individually, which is where the next step comes in.

3. Once you’ve aligned the knuckle, slide the faux-pin on the knuckle bender through the three knuckles. This ensures the knuckles are aligned without having to slide the pin all the way in and then tap it out again.

4. Once aligned, put the door in place and tap the pin through the knuckles.

Voila! You’re done. You just made quick work of an annoying problem plus, and more importantly, have DIY bragging rights. All at the expense of buying an amazing little tool.

Recommendation: This is a handy tool to simply have around the house. But, for contractors, house-flippers, or DIY enthusiasts the tool can be indispensable when it comes to saving time and protecting your doors.
