    DIY Pumpkin Hardware Decor Ideas

It’s October, which means the holiday season is upon us. There’s just something about the holidays that bring out the crafty spirit in me. And even though I have a crafty spirit, quite honestly, I’m not actually very crafty or artistic. I just want to be—so badly! Because of this desire, yet lack of skill, I usually pick out easy crafts. So don’t fret, these are fairly easy (yet unique)! Here’s a couple of fun Halloween crafts using cabinet hardware.

Keep in mind, if you plan on replacing your kitchen hardware any time soon, consider using the old hardware in a craft project like the ones below (use as is or spray paint your knobs to give your project a dash of color). If you don’t have old hardware to use, then browse through rokhardware.com and take your pick.

  4. $3 Thursday: Hooks

    $3 Thursday: Hooks

Winter is coming fast (much too fast if you ask me). I grew up in Southern California so I never really had to worry much about winter coats or anything like that (I wore a sweatshirt once or twice a year, does that count?). But I live in Utah now, and it snowed here already last month—in September! If the rest of the country is experiencing an early winter too, then that means it’s time to get our coats out of storage.

Maybe this sounds petty, but it is what it is, and I’m going to say it. One of the things that annoys me most about winter is that coats and jackets are found everywhere. On the floor in my car, on the floor in my house, hanging over the staircase rail, hanging over the backs of chairs, stuffed inside the toy box, and the list goes on. Needless to say, I’ll be donating some coats this year to the local homeless shelter. But my point is that there’s only 3 people living in my house and we still don’t have enough space to hang all the things we want to hang. I know
