My base cabinets are 23 1/4" deep + 3/4" thick face frames = 24". I know I need to buy the mounting brackets to use in conjunction with these drawer slides. My question is will I have enough depth to use the 24" slides or do I need to buy the 22" slides? Which is the better option for stability and ease of installation?
Typically, we refer drawer slides based on the depth of the drawer box (from behind the face of the drawer to the end of the drawer itself) and then based on the overall depth of the cabinet. Your cabinets are 24" deep from the front of the face frame to the back wall of the cabinet. How deep is your drawer box? If it's 21-22", then you'd go with a 22" slide, so that the drawer will fully extend. If you are not blocking out the frame of the cabinet to install the slide, then you will need rear mounting brackets as well. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
